From Software Informer
The Games Factory 2, or TGF2, is a software development environment driven by a graphical user interface (GUI) published by Clickteam. It was released on 30 June 2006 and is the successor to the 1996 release The Games Factory.
The Games Factory 2 is designed as an entry-level program to compliment Clickteam's more advanced programming tool, Multimedia Fusion (MMF). The two programs are similar in appearance but the former is lacking in many of the more powerful functions that are present in MMF.
The program employs a graphical pseudocode-like system to make the process of programming routines much easier for the user, and allows in-program editing of images, sprites and animation. MIDI, AVI and many other file formats may be imported to enhance the production. Games and programs created with TGF2 may not be distributed commercially and all compiled programs include a splash screen indicating the fact that it was a product of clickteam and its website's link is shown.
